GlowShop's UV effects painting and lighting team combine all the disciplines required to produce jaw dropping UV special effects for a wide variety of situations and occasions.

Whatever style is required can be handled by our UV effects team, from seriously 'in your face' fluorescent imagery for rock concert backdrops to subtle soothing designs for moody atmospheric interiors.

UV lighting and special painting techniques enable the production of a variety of different types of effect:

Single Image - UV fluorescent paints give vivid results even when the painting is viewed only under ambient light. However when the finished image is washed with ultra violet black light then it glows as if by magic.

Dual Image - for example day to night scenes created using a combination of conventional, UV fluorescent and invisible/UV revealing paints. Under normal light the viewer sees the day scene, the night time equivalent appearing when the image is bathed in UV black light.

3D - UV fluorescent paints permit the creation of a much greater depth of field than is achievable with conventional paints.

Invisible/UV Revealing - these images are completely invisible under normal lighting and revealed only under UV light.

Trompe-l'oeil' - using combinations of the above permits the creation of stunning visual tricks.

Custom designed to client commission, artwork can be painted in situ or studio produced on flats, canvas or other lightweight substrates for use as portable backdrops.

We're completely flexible in our approach. We offer the full painting and lighting service from design through to installation or tailor the package to suit client requirements. An extensive range of UV lighting fixtures means we can light anything indoors or out. Our high powered 400W flood lights, combined with dimmers and scrollers, give us the ability to create really stunning dual image effects at the flick of a switch. In fact, we can even create the illusion of movement using sequenced lighting trains.
