Hints & Tips

for use of UV special effects colours

Application

  • Use sponges to apply broad areas of colour using liquid colour.
  • For airbrushing thin the liquid colour with distilled water.
  • For small areas and fine, detailed designs the use of a brush will achieve the best effects. Round brush for fine and square for larger solid designs.
  • For performance applications the most stable effects will be achieved with creme colours.
  • Water based colours, especially sticks, are ideal for fun and adult/childrens party and events.

Fixing

  • Use fixer spray with water based colours to protect against the effects of perspiration.
  • For extra protection spray before and after the application of colour.
  • Use fixing powder with creme colours and apply using powder puff.

Removal

  • Creme colours are removed with creme colour remover followed by a final soap and water wash.
  • Water based, creme washable and fixer will wash off with soap and water.

Sensitivity

Some people have very sensitive skin and may develop irritation when in contact with everyday household and personal products. Anyone with a history of sensitivity is advised to avoid use of UV special effects colours.

Do not apply to broken skin and, if you have any concerns use a barrier cream before application.
